#141 - Vintage Lefton Mermaid on a Seahorse |
This is one of my most favorites mermaids and the most elegant mermaid Lefton ever made in my opionion. She was made by Lefton in the US
and in Japan as distinguished by the different numbers on the back of the piece. |
|
|
#140 - Vintage Anglefish |
This is a lovely vintage angle fish made by ESD Lefton. She still retails the Lefton sticker on the back. There is a tiny bit off
the bottom fin that has been knocked off. I had started to repair it but then changed bathroom colors so no longer need this color... so the new owner gets the pleasure of coloring that place in. She
is 7" tall. |

|
#138 - Vintage Mermaid |
This is a cute little mermaid that was most likely someone's ceramic project. She has a hole that goes thru her so I imagine she was used
as an embelishment to macrame of maybe a towel holder. Unique little gal. She is just 3" tall. |
|
|
#134 - Vintage Bradley Wall Pocket Fish |
This is a Bradley Exclusives fish wall pocket. It is one of the prettiest fish wall pockets I have seen. Excellent condition with no chips or
cracks. Wonderful mermaid go-with! He is made of ceramic with holes on the back for attachment to the wall. He is around 6". |
|
|
#133 - Rare Vintage Norcrest Mermaid and Seahorse Vase |
This is such a lovely piece of Norcrest and one of the more rare pieces of Norcrest. It is a vase which stands 6.25" tall. There are
no holes in the back so it's not a wall pocket, it is a free standing vase. A lovely and unique piece from one of the better mermaid manufacturers back in the 50's. |

#131 - Vintage DeForest Dancing Mermaid |
This is a wonderful example of the DeForest Mermaid. DeForest didn't make but a few sets of
mermaids and all theirs were very unique with big black eyes. I struggled to list this as a set or separately and decided to list separately as they are so unique that just one would make a nice wall
display. She is 5.5" tall and her tail is sort of a dark dusty rose color. |

mermaids and all theirs were very unique with big black eyes. I struggled to list this as a set or separately and decided to list separately as they are so unique that just one would make a nice wall

#130 - Vintage Chalkware Ponytail Mermaids |
Here we have two chalkware mermaid babies. The technique used to create the chalkware babies
back in the 40's/50's was to spray the paint on - nothing was done by hand. so you often see these with eyes not exactly in the right place. :) This set is really done quite nicely.
They are a great example of the chalkware carnival type mermaids they made 50+ years ago. The one on the left is perfect, the one on the right has a break on the tail and ponytail.. but when you repair
chalkware, you can't even see the breaks... so I have turned her over so you can see the back where the breaks were. These to not show at all on the front. They are 5.5" tall. |

#129 - Vintage Red Headed Sisters |
This is an nice mermaid set with two sisters on the plump side. Hey, not all mermaids are slim
and trim! I'm not really sure on the age of these but they look newer than those made in the 40's. They were sold to me in a lot I got of vintage, so just have to assume they were not bought
yesterday. But at any rate they are a real pretty ceramic set of mermaids and are about 7". I have priced assuming they are not 40s/50s vintage. |
|
|
#128 - Vintage Lefton Japan Hula Mermaid |
This is a really pretty and colorful Lefton mermaid. I call her a "hula" mermaid as she looks
like she should be in Hawaii! The picture shows two but I have already sold the one on the left with the broken arm. This sale is for the one on the right only (the blonde). She is
about 6". |

#120 - 1960 Vintage Mermaid by Christy Lee, Redland, CA |
I usually like to list sets together but this mermaid and the merman below are so pretty by
themselves I have decided to list each by itself in case you just want one. This piece is rather large, 10" wide. The bubbles didn't originally come with the set but I had some paint that almost
matched the tailfins so I made a set of bubbles to go with her. The piece is hollow with a hole in the back for hanging and "Copyright 1960 by Christy Lee Redland, Calif" is stamped in ink on the
back. Also on the back indended in the piece is "M1". |

#112 - Vintage Mermaid Shelf Sitter |
This is a really cute shelf sitter. The mermaid has more a bisque/porcelain finish than the
gloss. I have two of these and one has the label half gone on the bottom, I can't make out who made them. But she sure is cute and such detail on the bra and tail. She is abour
4.5". The shell is not a vintage piece. I made it because I thought it looked good with her. This one could sit on the edge of a shelf with her tail hanging over. |

#121 - Vintage PY Mermaid Sisters |
This is the cute 50's vintage PY sister set. PY didn't make many sets of mermaids, they only made
this mermaid sister set, a fish set and a seahorse set. There were a few individual mermaids they made but the only made these mermaid sisters in the set of two. They are just so beautiful and whimisical.
There are duplications of the PY set that are smaller and shaped a little differently but nothing can compare to the original PY girls! Please look at the big picture as the detailing on the tails is
wonderful... you just don't see vintage mermaids often with this beautiful of a tail. And their eyes are so expressive! They are a little over 6" tall. |

#124 - Vintage Spoon Rest, Cream and Sugar |
This is a very unique piece made in 1961 by Kelvin, numbered C-262. It has a hanger on the back so it can be placed on the wall, but it has
indentions on the face so it can be used as a spoon rest. It is in excellent condition and one I have never seen before. They certainly made things flexible back in the 60's! As a bonus, I have a whale
creamer and sugar (no lid) made by the same manufacturer included in this auction. It is obvious it is made to go with the spoon holder. Really cute set and from a manufacturer you don't see that often.

|
|
#125 - Vintage Large Green Fish |
This is one of the most beautiful vintage fishes I have every seen. The detail on him is wonderful and you can tell it was made by a manufacturer
that cared about quality in their items. He is large - 6.5" tall. |

#126 Vintage Lefton Mermaids with Bubbles - Juniper/Purple tails |
Wonderful set of Lefton mermaid sisters. The older sister has red hair and is playing a harp. The two younger sisters are blonde haired; one
is admiring herself in a mirror and one is playing with a bubble. The big sister is 8" tall and the little sisters are 5" tall. This set came with the tails either in a darker
Juniper/Purple color, or lighter with more purple in them. This set is the darker of the two. There is one spot on the top of the big sister hair (at the crown) that they missed a spot getting
the red color on in the manufacturing process - you could touch it up easily if it bothered you. |

|
#127 Vintage Lefton Mermaids with Bubbles - Purple tails |
Wonderful set of Lefton mermaid sisters. The older sister has red hair and is playing a harp. The two younger sisters are a blonde and red
head; one is admiring herself in a mirror and one is playing with a bubble. The big sister is 8" tall and the little sisters are 5" tall. This set came with the tails either in a darker
Juniper/Purple color, or lighter with more purple in them. This set is the lighter of the two. The little sister with the bubble ran into some trouble and the bubbles is repaired. I have
taken a closeup of the repair as it is a good one and really can't be seen because of the pearlescent on the bubbles when you hang it on the wall. However, since there is a repair, this one is a
lower price. |

#114 - Vintage Lipstick Holder or Candle Hugger |
This is just a wonderful little vintage mermaid with a lusterware pearlized tail. And she is so versitile! She could be a lipstick holder or a
candle hugger. Marked with a Japan inkmark on the bottom. |

#115 - Bradley Vintage Mermaid Wall Pocket with Arrow and Flower Basket |
Bradley made a lot of mermaids back in the 40's and 50s. Some were made in California and some were made in Japan. Some have solid black eyes and
some have eyes with white. There were 3 that Bradley made as wall pocket, and all three all are about 4". This is Bradley wall pocket with an arrow. I have added a cute little basket of
fine porcelain flowers that I got from the Franklin mint as it just looked so cute on her arm! |
|
|
#116 - Bradley Vintage Mermaid Wall Pocket with Arrow and Purse |
Bradley made a lot of mermaids back in the 40's and 50s. Some were made in California and some were made in Japan. Some have solid black eyes and
some have eyes with white. There were 3 that Bradley made as wall pocket, and all three all are about 4". This is Bradley wall pocket with an arrow. This poor little girl had just a
terriable paint job on her... I almost threw her away she looked so bad, but then I decided to give her a makeover and see if someone wanted her with her new face and body lift! The purse
is not attached, it just hangs on her arm. 3 connected bubbles are included, they did not come with the set, they were newly made by me. They have a little silver glitter on them to pick up the
silver in her tail. She still retains the Bradley sticker on the back. She is about 4" long. |
|
|
#117 - Vintage Norcrest Wall Pocket Set |
Wonderful mermaid set that consists of a wall pocket fish with a mermaid on top, and a mermaid that the fish is kissing. The wall pocked is made by
Norcrest and still retains its original label. I am pretty sure the one getting a kiss is Norcrest too but she doesn't have a label. I purchased the set together so just assume they came
together! The finish is more a bisque rather than the glossy glaze you see on most mermaids. This combined with the pocket in back of the fish for plants.. makes this one a really different
set. The wall pocket is about 6" tall. |
|
|
#136 - Vintage Sailfish |
This is an old sailfish wall plaque. It looks good from the front but there is a break on the nose and on the tail as can be seen on the back. Still
a pretty wall pocket and would especially look wonderful in a retro black and pink bathroom with a nice plant in him. He is 8" tall |
|
|
#137 - Vintage Bradley Fish |
This is an old fish wall plaque. I don't know what that white thing is on the picture towards the back tail but it isn't on the piece... maybe a
reflection or something. Anyways, he appears to be in great condition but if you run your finger on the tip of the bottom fin, you can tell there was a little bit knocked off there. Still a very
pretty wall plaque and would look nice with a plant in it on the wall. The Bradley sticker is still on the back. He is 8" tall |
|
|
#118 - Bradley Vintage Mermaid Wall Pocket with Harp |
Bradley made a lot of mermaids back in the 40's and 50s. Some were made in California and some were made in Japan. Some have solid black eyes and
some have eyes with white. There were 3 that Bradley made as wall pocket, and all three all are about 4". This is Bradley wall with a harp. She is so cute with or without anything in her
wall pocket portion! |

|
#119 - RARE Vintage Freeman McFarlin sister shelf sitters |
This is a VERY rare set to find. You see a lot of reproductions made of this set but the orginal by Freeman McFarlin is so hard to come
by! This one I hate letting go of but I have 2 persians that like to climb up on things and I just would rather part with them than have one broken because my cats think it is a toy! The pictures
aren't that good but if you want better pictures contact me and I'll be glad to take more for you. |
|
|
#110 - Vintage Green Resin Dolphins |
These Dolphins I got at an estate sale a while back. You always see the seahorses made of resin with shells in them but I had never
seen dolphins before! The largest one is 6" tall. |
|
|
#111 - Vintage 1964 Miller Studio Ship Wall Plaques |
These 1964 Miller Studio ships are a delightful way to add to your nautical wall display if you want "something" but are tired of fish and
mermaids! The colors are muted so they would go with a number of colors, especially blues because of the blue in the sails and water. They add that far away look to a wall display of
mermaids! The largest one is 8" tall. |
